Galveston Mission Week 2008

FROM THE LOCAL MISSION SCENE…

ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO…

Many residents in Galveston are in need of help. The Missions Council, through the efforts of Vivian Pinard and Jim Davis, maintains an ongoing list of requests for help from Galveston residents. Some are completed during Mission Week. Some are beyond our expertise. Some are completed here and there by individuals. And others wait a long time. The one thing they have in common is that they all require volunteers.

If you (or a group) are interested in taking on a project, you can contact Vivian Pinard at the church. During the year, the Missions Council will also schedule a Mission Day when there is an appropriate group project. If there are enough volunteers then we can move forward with the project. This is a great opportunity to be in service to those who cannot do these things for themselves.

Mission Week 2008 was April 26 - May 3

Mission Week 2008 kicked off on Saturday, April 26! This is the largest outreach program of Moody Methodist Church with an impact on the whole Galveston community. The projects we fulfilled would otherwise be unobtainable either physically or financially by the benefactors.

To volunteer to help with Mission Week, contact Vivian Pinard at (409)744-4526 for more information.
